Emily Dubowski (American, b. 1938) is a representational, precisionist painter. Since her youth in Chicago, Illinois, her immediate surroundings have inspired her to make images with poise and accuracy. Despite Abstract Expressionism transitioning into Pop Art during her years of training at St. Louis University, Dubowski embraced painting akin to the Photorealist movement. Throughout her illustrious career, she has aimed to infuse her paintings with “emotional-pull,” the term she uses to best differentiate her work from other representational imagery. Her paintings are in many museum, corporate, and private collections, and are always available at Ward & Ward for acquisition.
